So Helix is a brand that recently updated their plus mattress, and it looks a little different. Today, there is much more to consider. So we’re going to talk about that in detail in today’s video. Hi, I’m JD from CNET. I hope you are well. Today we’re going to review the five main things you should know about the Helix Plus mattress, or at least its latest updated version. Keep in mind, we did receive this mattress to review from Helix Sleep completely free of charge. But if you happened to get something from this video, or you liked it in general, hit the “Like” button or subscribe to the CNET homepage for more. The first thing you need to know about the Helix Plus is that this is a hybrid option with a more supportive design than a regular hybrid bed. The base of the bed uses Titan Core coils for support and the top uses high-density transition and comfort foam for comfort, which gives this mattress an ultra-supportive design. It’s designed to support a lot of weight every night. I think the Helix even claims it can support a £2,500 person at the same time, which is a lot of weight. We often recommend that heavier people consider a hybrid bed rather than an All-F bed, as the bottom coil unit provides more long-term support. This is especially true if you are heavier. If you’re spending over £300, you’ll want an ultra-supportive coil option like this one to provide the right amount of nighttime support for your shape. The second thing you should know about the Helix Plus is the feel this design gives the bed. We would say it has more of a neutral blend feel. Overall, it feels like a very simple coil mattress with a comfortable feel that should appeal to a variety of sleep types. To me, the updated version of the Helix Plus mattress feels a lot like the Helix Twilight model. Just a little more responsive and durable. When you jump on this mattress, you will feel a lot of push and resistance. But if you’re a little heavier, you might sink into the bed and feel it a little softer than regular gel. But that leads me nicely to the third main thing you should know, which is of course its sturdiness. We time it at appropriately sized mid-sized companies. This is very similar to other ultra-supported hybrid options online. They usually rank around this firm simply because they are designed to be stronger and more supportive. Therefore, this bed is mainly suitable for back and stomach sleepers. But again, if you’re a little heavier, it might feel closer to a mid-weight for all your sleep styles. Generally speaking, larger people will usually spend more time sinking into the bed than average-sized people, and they will find the firmness of the bed to be softer. So that’s something to keep in mind. If you are heavier, you may find the bed soft. Now, in addition to the Helix Plus mattress, there’s a new look similar to the other six Helix core mattresses. This update also introduces Helix Plus Lux and Helix Plus Elite to the Helix range. Therefore, there are two other versions of the Helix Plus mattress that you can consider. Today, both have a more pronounced pillow-top feel, and I believe these beds even have a bit of zone support. So if you suffer from nighttime back pain, these options may be worth considering. If you didn’t know already, Helix probably makes the most mattresses compared to any other online mattress brand. In fact, they do it so much that they offer an online sleep test where you just fill out a short questionnaire. It will ask you a series of questions related to your sleeping preferences. In the end, it basically provides you with the right mattress based on the answers you submit. Since Helix’s product lineup is so broad, this takes all the guesswork out of it. Now, if you’re interested in trying it for yourself, we’ll try to link to the Helix Sleep Test in the description box below. But the fifth and final thing you need to know about this newly updated Helix plus core model is its price point. Keep in mind that these pricing elements do change depending on when you decide to purchase. This is as of the time I’m recording this, but you can currently get the Helix plus and queen bed for around $1,200 after discounts. Consider that other ultra-supportive hybrid beds cost over $2,000. I think you’re making real money here. You’ll get an ultra-supportive hybrid mattress at a reasonable price. We will try to link any discounts we can find on the Helix plus mattress in the description box below. We definitely want to help you save as much money as possible. But that leaves us with the question of who is ultimately best for this mattress or the new updated version of the Helix Plus, which I would say if you’re on the heavier side and looking for something ultra-supportive, check this one out. option, slightly more robust. What you want is something that’s reasonably priced for a bed of this level of support. Again, beds like the Sava HD Big Fig, they cost a lot more, and I think this bed is even more affordable than the Titan Plus, which is a solid value in its own right. So, keeping in mind that Helix Plus is priced quite well these days, what do you think of this new updated Helix Plus? Do you like it? Love it or hate it? Write a comment below.
