The New York Police Department (NYPD) said that at 3:30 pm on Thursday, June 13, a 13-year-old girl and her friend, a 13-year-old boy, were in Kissena Park in Queens, New York.
Authorities say a Hispanic man approached the teens, showed them a knife and asked them to follow him into the woods.

After raping a young girl, the suspect disappeared from the park.
The teens were able to escape and run to the school across the street before calling 911.
