this game of ThronesThe prequel’s death toll hasn’t caught up with its eight-season origin show, but it’s certainly on track. As we prepare for another outing in George R.R. Martin’s brutal Westeros, here are the details on all the key deaths so far Dragon House —from least scary to most scary.
‘House of the Dragon’ Review: The Top 9 WTF Moments of Season 2
Lord Lyman Bisbury

cause of death: Murdered by Office Marble
Ser Kriston Cole (Fabian Frankel) couldn’t match Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith)’s death toll in Season 1, but he did a great job here very good. Lord Lyman Bisbury (Bill Patterson) makes the terrible mistake of protesting against Aegon (Tom Greene-Carney) replacing Rhaenyra (Emma Darcy) on the Iron throne, and thus he became one of his victims. Sir Christon’s reaction? His head hit the marble of Bisbury’s office, a small pebble, and he died instantly on impact.

cause of death: stoned to death
Being near Daemon Targaryen was a dangerous situation. In episode five, we’re briefly introduced to Damon’s wife, Lady Rhea Royce (Rachel Redford), shortly before Damon knocks her off a horse in broad daylight and then –presumably–murdered her with stones off-screen. Pretty shocking and gruesome, sure, but this one ranks low on the list because we don’t see the actual death itself.
Haven Strong

cause of death: Killed in house fire
We also didn’t see Haven Strong (Ryan Cole) die from the fire at Harrenhal, but we did see how things unfolded. To make this all even more unpleasant, Harvin’s father, Lord Lionel Strong (Gavin Spikes), died alongside him. worse In fact, Harvin’s brother Larris (Matthew Needham) arranged for the building to be burned down.
Lucerys Velaryon

cause of death: Bitten by a dragon in mid-air
You have to feel a little sorry for Lucerys Velaryon (Elliott Grihalt). The moment he steps into Storm’s End and sees Aemond (Ivan Mitchell), you know things aren’t going to end well. While he attempted to escape on his dragon Arax, Aemond caught up with his much larger dragon Vhagar, the circumstances of which are unclear. Arax became rebellious and breathed fire on the pursuing dragon, only for Vhagar to decide enough was enough: he went against his master’s wishes and essentially bit both Arax and Lucerys in half. It’s one of the big moments in the Season 1 finale, and it’s not the most gruesome death in the series—you don’t really see a lot of gore—but it’s certainly a shocking death.
crab feeder

cause of death: cut in half
Klages Dragar (Daniel Scott Smith), or “The Crab Feeder” as he’s known to his friends, initially appeared to be one of the main villains of Season 1 – at least until he and Dai This was the case before the face was covered. In a memorable dragon-assisted battle in episode three, Daemon takes the fight to a crab feeder’s beach and chases him into a cave. When Daemon came back, he was dragging about 50% of the Craghas behind him.

cause of death: Head cut in half
Yes, this is another death caused by Daemon, who has been piling up his death toll in season one faster than you can say “Valar Morghulis.” The victim this time is Ser Waymund Velaryon (Will Johnson), who made the grave mistake of calling Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys (Elliot Griha) in front of the king. Erte) is an illegitimate son. Vermund’s head is soon cut in half, but what’s truly horrifying are the close-ups of what’s left of him, including the remainder of his head with his tongue sticking out. nausea.
King Viserys Targaryen

cause of death: The wound slowly and painfully becomes infected
King Viserys (Paddy Considine) appears in not one but two death scenes in the film Dragon House, but he was essentially killed by the Iron Throne itself. Starting with an infected wound in the first episode, his body quickly began to decay, and the fifth Targaryen king eventually had to wear a mask to hide the toll his condition was taking on him. Was it as sudden and bloody as some of the deaths on the show? No.
Sir Joffrey Longmouth

cause of death: beaten to death
It turned out to be one Dragon House wedding is almost Just as scary game of Thrones one. The victim of the marriage in episode five is Ser Joffrey Longmouth (played by Solly Macleod), who made a very serious mistake when he married his bride Rhaenyra (played by Milly Alcock) )’s affair and stimulated Sir Christon Cole. result? The scene of Cole being brutally beaten to death, and the jarring close-up of Joffrey’s bloodied, dented face.
Queen Emma Arryn

cause of death: childbirth
The show’s first pivotal death sets the tone for what’s to come. Queen Emma Arryn (Sian Brooke) went into labor at the end of the first episode, but complications arose. Her husband, King Viserys, was called into the room and told that the Maester might be able to save his son by performing a caesarean section, but that the operation would result in the death of his wife. Forced to make a choice, he told them to move on. It’s a truly horrific sequence, made even more disturbing by the fact that the child died shortly after the Queen’s death.
Borrowed from Velaryon

cause of death: Burned to death by her own dragon during childbirth
Lyanna Velaryon (played by Nanna Blondell) is the daughter of Princess Rhaenys Targaryen and Lord Corlys Velaryon (played by Eve Best and Steve Toussaint) , who was also Damon’s wife, suffered the most horrific and tragic death of all time. Dragon House.
In another horrific birth episode in episode six, we once again see a Bachelor deliver the unimaginable news to a father after complications arise during delivery: a fatal C-section is the only way to save the baby. Damon asked if Lena would survive the surgery, and when the answer was no, it became clear that Lena had overheard the conversation. She decided to take her destiny into her own hands. Lyanna stumbles out and gives her dragon Vhagar one last command, “Dracarys,” which the dragon apparently fights before burning her and her unborn child to death. It was a very upsetting scene.
