new season Dragon House This means we’re back at the forefront of parsing the Targaryen family tree.
The process can be difficult for a number of reasons: the sheer number of characters, similar names (seriously, is George R.R. Martin paid “ae”?), and, of course, all the incest. So if you’ve ever asked yourself the question “Who is that?” or “How are they related?”, you’ve come to the right place.

At the top of our family is Alicent Hightower, the matriarch of Team Green. After the death of her husband Viserys and the coronation of her son Aegon II, Alicent became Queen Mother of the Seven Kingdoms. Her father, Otto Hightower, was Hand of the King to Aegon. He also served as Hand to the past two kings, Jaehaerys and Viserys. Obviously, the Hightowers don’t intend to let go of the Targaryens just yet.

Alicent and Viserys had four children, and we’ve seen some classic Targaryen brotherly incest with two of them. According to the custom of the House of Dragons, Aegon II married his sister Helena, whose prophecy in season 1 made her a “dreamer” like Aegon the Conqueror. They have three children together: twins Jaehaerys and Jaehaera and Maelor. As Aegon’s eldest son, Jaehaerys is currently the heir to the throne.
Here’s What Happened Next in House of the Dragon, According to the Book
Aegon and Helana’s brother Aemond will play a key role in the upcoming Dance of Dragons. He currently rides Vhagar, the largest dragon and the creature that killed Lucerys Targaryen. Oh, and by the way, his sapphire eyes and eyepatch combo give him the best accessory in Westeros.
Daeron is the youngest child of Alicent and Viserys and has not yet appeared in Dragon House, but this does not mean that he does not exist! exist fire and blood, who grew up in Oldtown and was the guardian of House Hightower. Maybe he’ll join the action for season two.

Both the Queen and the Sea Serpent, who never existed, survived the first season. Their daughter Lyanna died in painful childbirth when she ordered her dragon Vhagar to set her on fire. Their son Lynor, Rhaenyra Targaryen’s first husband, was killed in a sword fight. At least, that’s what Rhaenys and Corlys thought.
Popular stories that can be mixed and matched
In fact (and this is one of the biggest changes in Martin’s work), Lynor faked his own death and fled to Essos with his lover Cal, leaving behind his dragon Sea Smoke. This ruse provided a new beginning for Lynor and the opportunity for a new marriage for Rhaenyra. Unfortunately, it also devastated his parents, who had already experienced so much loss. If Lynor does return to Westeros – considering the events that took place fire and bloodI’m not sure he will – he’s got some explaining to do to his poor parents.

Once Lynor and Lyanna are both dead (or at least appear to be dead), there’s nothing stopping Rhaenyra and Daemon from marrying. Of course not because they are uncle and niece!
In the years between their marriage and the end of Season 1, Rhaenyra and Daemon gave birth to two sons: Aegon III and Viserys II. Their daughter Visenya was stillborn, another tragic loss that Rhaenyra had to experience after her father’s death.

By all official standards, Rhaenyra and Lynor had three children during their marriage. However, it’s an open secret that all three are the illegitimate sons of Sir Haven Strong, who died in a fire set by his brother Larris in season one.
Harvin may be dead, but (some of) his sons are still alive. As the eldest son, Jakaris is Rhaenyra’s heir. If she succeeds in ascending to the Iron Throne, he will be next in line. His younger brother Lucerys was the heir to Driftmark, the seat of House Velaryon, but after his tragic death in the season one finale, the title was presumably passed to Joffrey, the youngest of the three boys.
Daemon and Lyanna’s children: Bela Targaryen and Reyna Targaryen

Also on the family tree are Bela Targaryen and Rhaena Targaryen, the daughters of Daemon and Lyanna and the legitimate grandchildren of Rhaenys and Corlys.
Like many members of House Targaryen, Bela was a dragon knight. We’ve already seen her riding her mount Moondancer in the Season 2 trailer, so expect her to play a bigger role this season. She’s also engaged to her cousin Jacaerys, which is pretty tame as far as Targaryen incest goes.
Unlike Bela, Rhaena has no dragons and is not betrothed. She had hoped to reclaim Vhagar after her mother’s death, but Aemond arrived first. Renya is also He agreed to marry Luthilis, but Aemond hindered him again. He just plays for the black team, doesn’t he?
Dragon House Season 2 will premiere on HBO and Max on June 16 at 9 pm ET, with new episodes every Sunday.
