You may be worried about the future of your benefits after hearing the news that Social Security fund reserves may be depleted within the next 10 years. Not only does it show you the amount of benefits you can expect in retirement, it can also give you helpful information about your Social Security status. Create my Social Security account
To view all of your Social Security benefits online, you first need to create a My Social Security account. Here’s how to do it.
1.Visit ssa.gov on your browser, then scroll down and click Learn about my account beside mine social security account.
2.Next, click Create an account.
3.You will be prompted to log in with your account ID.me account or login.gov account, unless you established an account before September 18, 2021.
4. Once you have an account, you’ll need to agree to the Terms of Service to continue.
5. Next, you need to verify your identity. The Social Security Administration will send a one-time security code to your email that you will need to enter within 10 minutes to continue using your account.
You should now have access to all of your Social Security Statements and other details online.
You can view social security information online
When you log into your online account, you will be able to view your Social Security statement. If you haven’t received benefits yet, you’ll see an estimate of the amount you might receive in retirement.
There is a table showing your monthly benefit amount in retirement. For example, if you were born in 1960 or later, your chart might show retirement at age 62 (early), age 67 (full), and age 70 (late). Please note that these retirement ages may change in the future. The longer you wait to retire, the more money you can earn each month.
You can also view your eligibility and earnings information. If you have worked for at least 10 years, you will have enough work credits (40 years required) to receive benefits. If you click to view your earnings record, you’ll see your taxed Social Security and Medicare earnings for each year you worked.

- If you have been unable to work for a year or more due to a medical condition, start filing for disability.
