Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan joked in front of an excited crowd about body-slamming Vice President Kamala Harris and questioning her racial identity.
In a video obtained by TMZ, the 71-year-old can be seen asking the jeering crowd, “You guys want me to body slam Kamala Harris?!”
“You want me to put my leg on Kamala?!” he yelled, referring to one of his signature wrestling moves.
The comments, made during a promotion for his new beer, come amid calls for an end to violent political rhetoric following the assassination of Donald Trump nearly six weeks ago.
Hogan went on to make more comments about Ms. Harris, including one about her Indian heritage.
Kamala Harris is biracial – her mother is from India and her father is Jamaican.
“Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?” Hogan asked the crowd, before using an outdated and stereotypical greeting associated with Native American Indians.
The video stops after he is heard saying “he’s going to get hot for that.”
“That’s not me, that’s the beer talking,” he added.
The BBC has contacted Hulk Hogan’s management for comment.
Trump has recently attacked the vice president’s racial identity, falsely claiming she only emphasized her Asian-American heritage until recently, when he claimed “she became black.”
Last month, Hulk Hogan appeared at the Republican National Convention and gave a speech praising Trump.
He also tore off a shirt to reveal a vest bearing Trump’s name and his vice presidential pick, J.D. Vance.
The former wrestler’s latest comments come as Democrats hold their convention in Chicago this week, where they will formally endorse Kamala Harris as their Democratic presidential candidate in the November election.
