Investigators are trying to identify the person whose skeletal remains were found at a Loma Linda property over the weekend.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received a call about the unpleasant incident around 11:29 a.m. Sunday, said Mara Rodriguez, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Found to investigate.
The remains were found around a property in the 11400 block of San Timoto Canyon Road in Loma Linda.
The remains were determined to be human, and the Sheriff’s Investigations Division responded about an hour later and took over the investigation.
As of Monday morning, authorities had not determined the age or other identifying details of the deceased.
The preliminary investigation report stated that “the remains recovered, including various bones, will be examined and autopsied to determine the identity and cause of death.”
Rodriguez said no further information was released because the investigation is ongoing.
