Hundreds of communists marched through Philadelphia on Sunday.
In a video uploaded by the Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA), hundreds of communists can be seen waving communist flags as they march through the streets of Philadelphia.
RCA wrote on the X: “Say hello to the American communist generation.”
“Join the party that will overthrow capitalism in our lifetime,” the group wrote in another post.

Every business today:
The newly formed Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA) held their first congress in Philadelphia on Sunday, marking the founding of the United States chapter of the Coordination of Revolutionary Communists, a global movement active in several countries.
After the convention, about 500 RCA members marched through the streets of Philadelphia, carrying red flags emblazoned with hammer and sickle symbols. The demonstration drew widespread attention on social media, including condemnation from prominent figures including X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Musk, whose net worth is estimated at $238 billion, according to Forbes, shared a protest video with an exclamation mark to highlight his displeasure.
The RCA was affiliated with the Revolutionary Communist International, which encompassed at least 12 countries. The organization’s platform calls for the total abolition of capitalism and promotes a vision of “material excess” against what it describes as the “artificial scarcity” of a profit-driven system. The RCA’s agenda included advocating for significant improvements in workers’ lives and proposing a radical reorganization of society under working-class political and economic control.
Communism is historically associated with left-wing ideology and has been a controversial topic due to its association with several mass atrocities. This ideology is associated with many regimes responsible for widespread human rights abuses. It is estimated that communist regimes such as the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong’s China, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia were responsible for the deaths of approximately 100 million people through political purges, forced labor, and famine.
