Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter was arrested Thursday along with 108 anti-Israel rioters as the New York City Police Department dismantled a protest encampment at Columbia University.
Just hours after the incident, the squad member’s wayward child was suspended from Barnard College for his role in the protests.
Isra Hirsi looked “concerned” as she was placed in “elastic handcuffs” along with many other pro-Palestinian protesters at the sit-in, the Daily Mail reported.
The protester received a summons for trespassing and was released, according to the NYPD.

Ilhan Omar’s daughter suspended, arrested
Before her arrest, Omar’s daughter announced she had been suspended from Barnard College, which is located across the street from Columbia University.
Hirsey showed defiance after being suspended.
“We in the Gaza Solidarity Camp will not be intimidated,” she wrote on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
“We will stand firm until our demands are met. Our [sic] Demands include divestment from companies involved in genocide, transparency in @Colombia investments and full amnesty for all students facing repression,” she added.
There is no indication that the demands have been met, nor that the students are victims of “repression”.
Shocking footage from the protests showed a mob participant shouting “We are all Hamas” and “Long live Hamas”.

Mayor Eric Adams told the crowd Thursday night that university President Nemat Shafik asked police to eliminate “clear and present security threats” on campus.
They were fully warned and stayed.
Some protesters were seen being led away from the camp.

Omar ‘arrested’ in Washington
Many of the congresswoman’s critics were quick to say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Why? Likewise, Omar was arrested during protests in Washington, D.C., in 2022.
Unlike Hirsey, however, Omar and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., pretended to be handcuffed as they were led away.

Comedian Adam Corolla then blasted AOC and Omar’s showmanship.
“It’s crazy that these women, who are not only the most privileged people in America but the most privileged people in the world, have to turn themselves into martyrs,” Carolla said.
“‘I will continually see myself as the oppressed,'” he added, speaking as if he were a congresswoman.
Mayor Adams said the police took action to ensure the safety of classmates and staff.
“Columbia students have a proud history of protest and making their voices heard,” he said. “But we’re not going to be a lawless city.”
However, the city is currently overrun by lawless illegal immigrants.
