Indianapolis – this Rival Training Camp Series Regional play concluded last weekend in Indianapolis. Many of the region’s top rising stars come to the camp to showcase their talents and compete against each other. Recruiting analysts nationwide Greg Smith Find out which shows you should be happy with after the event.
Illinois
No team should be happier to end this run than Illinois. Entering training camp, the program had two commits participating. Quarterback Carson Boyd had a great offseason and won a Ballon d’Or in training camp. He was solid against the run and was solid.
Defensive back Andre Lovett is a big-bodied playmaker who really shined during training camp. He completed several passes in one-on-one situations.
But the breakout star of training camp may be wide receiver Brayden Tremble. The smooth receiver was easily isolated throughout camp and I didn’t see him drop a pass. His recruiting numbers were about to skyrocket, but he committed to Illinois shortly after training camp.
All three are must-keep in-state players for Illinois.

Louisville
The last time I saw Jake Cook on the Louisville offensive line was in a game at Ohio State where he won MVP. Cook continued his great offseason by winning the offensive line MVP award at RCS Indy.
Cook has received a lot of praise this offseason for improving his physical and technical abilities. He looks great and moves well off the field. In intense one-on-one situations, he was once again a brick wall.
The Ohio native is happy with his commitment to Louisville, but the Cardinals will have to work hard to keep him. Other programs are sure to provide a boost for the rising offensive lineman.

Miami
One of the rookies traveling the farthest to Indianapolis for training camp is Miami’s Malachi Toney. The Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage product showcased the full range of his skills on Sunday.
He is an elite cross country runner with great hands and speed. Those traits are especially true considering he’s a 2026 draft pick. There’s still a long way to go before he puts pen to paper, but the Hurricanes are already making good progress.

Ohio
Every time we see Tavion St. Clair in person, it becomes easier to understand why Ohio State prioritized him over other quarterbacks this cycle. At 6-foot-4, 228 pounds, St. Clair is imposing and carries himself like a top quarterback. He’s reshaped his body over the past few years, and it shows.
St. Clair’s movement is smooth and all of his throws are easy. He turned his attention to fellow recruiters at Ohio State, targeting Dakorien Moore, Jaime Ffrench and Vernell Brown.

Tennessee
The Vols clearly know they have in-state defensive lineman Ethan Utley. He is a consistent top performer every time we see him at an event. He likes to face fierce competition and prove that he is the best, which is an invisible force that can take him further.
Utley has the perfect combination of speed and power, and it’s hard not to see him contributing to Tennessee early in his career.
