At Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the company said it would release iOS 18 Opening to the public this fall. But it has released the iPhone update to developers and beta testers so they can try out all the new features, such as RCS messaging and home screen customization. We’ve put together this cheat sheet to help you understand and use the latest features in iOS 18.
Please note that iOS 18 is still in beta, so these features may have bugs or not work properly. We recommend only downloading the beta version on a device other than your main device. Since this isn’t the final version of iOS 18, the update may be buggy and battery life may be short, and it’s best to keep these hassles on a secondary device. I downloaded the beta version on my old iPhone XR to prevent any bugs or issues with the iPhone 14 Pro.
When iOS 18 is released, there may be even more features coming to your iPhone. Apple says iOS 18 will be released to the public this fall, but no specific date has been set yet.
