Senator J.D. Vance fired back at Democrats’ latest attacks on his recently revived quip about “childless cat ladies” running the country, accusing them of taking it out of context.
“If you look at the full context of what I said, it’s clear that the Democrats try to take things out of context and exaggerate, which is what they always do because they don’t have an agenda to run their own,” he told “Sunday Night America.” Trey Gowdy, Fox News.
In a 2021 Spotlight interview, Vance said, “We are a country that is literally run by a bunch of childless cat ladies, through the Democratic Party, through our corporate oligarchs, who feel bad about their lives and the choices they make. Pain, so they want to make the rest of the country suffer as well.

He also singled out prominent left-wing figures, including Vice President Kamala Harris and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as examples of this.
After the remark resurfaced, the Ohio senator and Trump’s running mate came under fire from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actress Jennifer Aniston and the Harris campaign for allegedly disparaging childlessness or women who are infertile.
He clarified his intentions on Sunday.

“If you look at what the American people care about most, it’s not a quip I took out of context three years ago, it’s the fact that border czar Kamala Harris is opening the southern border of the United States. Some of the policies of the Democratic Party have become unequivocally anti-family. ,”He said.
“In fact, you just heard Kamala Harris in a video that came out recently talking about how having children is a bad idea because of climate change anxiety, so what I’m trying to say here is, for us Say, being a professional is important.
Vance blasted Harris for questioning his loyalty to the United States: “What the hell did you do?”
Vance said he believed parenthood can have a “profound” impact on a person’s views and again blasted Democrats for allegedly promoting anti-child and anti-family rhetoric.
“There are a lot of people who don’t have children for a variety of reasons, and they are certainly great people who are able to participate fully in the life of this country,” he said, adding shortly after, “So this is not a criticism and it has never been a criticism of everyone. This criticism from a childless person is a lie from the left and a criticism of the left’s increasingly anti-parent and anti-child attitudes.
