Former Bill Clinton bag endorser James Carville has been on edge for much of the 2024 election. He was one of the first Democrats to sound the alarm that Joe Biden couldn’t win.
Now that Biden has been replaced by Kamala Harris, Democrats are acting as if all problems are solved, but Carville is not ready to accept their “flippant” attitude.
Carville has warned Democrats that Harris will be under tremendous attack, and he’s right.

James Carville warns Democrats against getting too cocky about Kamala Harris: ‘It’s too triumphalist’
After weeks of warning Democrats that the American people want something new to replace President Joe Biden, campaign veteran James Carville warned them not to be too proud of their new choices.
After Biden bowed under pressure and Vice President Kamala Harris was quickly elevated to become the presumptive nominee, many Democrats are enjoying an apparent honeymoon period with their new nominees, but Carville warns that’s not the time yet when they celebrate.
“I have to be the skunk at the garden party. Isn’t that too triumphalist?” Cavill said on MSNBC. “Everyone is giddy.” I read the coverage and it was great. If I had to write a play about my idea, it would be titled “Here Comes the Ice Pick,” okay? Get ready, they’re coming. OK? This is good. Everyone deserves to feel good, free and everything in between. But if we don’t win the election, we’ve done nothing.
“This giddy elation isn’t going to help much anymore because that’s not what we’re going to be dealing with.”

The media seems to think this will be a repeat of the 2008 election, when no one could criticize Harris as much as Obama did. They are wrong.
