CNN reported:
Jurors are watching closing arguments from prosecutor Joshua Stanglass.
Many people’s eyes were focused on him. Others were looking at monitors, which were showing a briefing that prosecutors had placed on a chart.
Stanglas also made an important point about why this case is important and how it constitutes election interference:
You might say, who cares if Mr. Trump slept with a porn star 10 years before the 2016 election. Many people feel this way. It’s hard to argue that the American people don’t have the right to decide for themselves whether they care.
The value of this corrupt transaction cannot be overstated.
It turned out to be one of the most valuable contributions anyone ever made to the Trump campaign…The plan these people concocted at this time may very well be the reason President Trump was elected.
Trump won by such a narrow margin that common sense suggests that if one more negative story like the Stormy Daniels scandal happened, Trump would be finished in the minds of enough voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan , thus losing the election.
If Trump fails in 2016, there will be no Trump in 2020 or 2024.
That’s why this case is important. Hush money schemes and falsified business records made Donald Trump’s entire political career possible, which is why he must be held accountable for these crimes.
