At one point, Vice President Harris looked directly into the camera, spoke to Donald Trump, and asked him to come to the debate and say this to her face.
Harris said:

Feel it. They’ve noticed. So, last week you may have seen him withdraw from the September debate, which he had previously agreed to.
Oh, here’s the thing, here’s the fun thing. That’s the interesting thing. So he can’t debate, but he and his running mate seem to have a lot to say to me. By the way, don’t you think some of their stuff is weird? Well, Donald, I do hope you reconsider meeting me on the debate stage, because as the saying goes, if you have something to say, say it to my face.

Kamala Harris humiliated Trump on national television and made him look like a coward in front of the world. Trump might be angry because he was called out by a brown woman.
Vice President Harris is right. The momentum of the election shifted. Donald Trump and his campaign have yet to find an effective line of attack against the presumptive Democratic nominee, and Harris is doing something the former president is certainly not used to. She is challenging him and asking him to step up.
Donald Trump faces an opponent in the election who is smarter, younger and more qualified than he is. Trump was so stale that he had to revert to his nickname for Harris, while his opponents blew him out of the water with energy and enthusiasm.
