“I am clear that my obligation is to lead Mexico on the path of peace, security, democracy, freedom and justice,” she said.
Challenger Ms Galvez, who has criticized President Obrador over the prevalence of organized crime in the country, held a closing event in the northern city of Monterrey.
“You will have the bravest president ever,” she said. “I will protect your family. I will protect your son. I will take care of your daughter. Don’t forget that.”
In this election, voters will also cast their ballots for hundreds of congressional representatives and thousands of local offices across the country.
