The gaslighting continues because Donald J. Trump has not handled the consequences of his 34 felony convictions well.

In the atrium of Trump Tower, the former president ranted, ranted, accused and complained in retro-Trump style, so much so that CNN interrupted his speech. He made consistent false statements about judges, the Justice Department, President Joe Biden, claimed he wanted to testify in his defense but was advised not to do so, and falsely claimed they were not “allowed” to use election expert witnesses.
“I will bear witness. I want to bear witness,” Trump said. “The theory is you’ll never testify because once you testify, no one, if it’s George Washington, will testify because they’re going to sue you for something slightly wrong in what you say, and then they sue you for perjury. .
“As far as the trial itself goes, it’s grossly unfair. Under no circumstances are we allowed to use our election experts,” the Republican presidential candidate and convicted felon said.
“You saw what happened to some of the witnesses on our side,” Trump continued. “They were literally crucified by this man who looked like an angel but was actually the devil. He looked nice and soft. . People always say he seems like a nice guy, not until you see him in action and you see it through someone who has been through hell.
Katie Phang, MSNBC host Katie Peng On the show, he refuted Trump’s excuses, writing that he could have testified and that he and his team could have chosen to invite election experts, but he chose not to do so.
Let’s make it crystal clear:
Trump could have testified. No one stopped him from doing so. No one forced him to sit there and not appear in court to defend himself.
Trump himself decided not to testify.
Trump also lied and said his defense was “not allowed to hire election experts” [witness]”.
The defense chose not to do so.
Trump decided not to call expert witnesses.
Donald Trump can make himself a victim of anything with just one puff. It’s as natural to him as breathing because that’s how he sees the world. The law does not apply to him and it would be an outrage if anyone tried to apply it.
Trump’s own defense attorney claimed on Fox News that Trump was responsible for the defense calls, so Trump was really angry with Trump. But facing this, we need the ability to reflect on ourselves. Therefore, Trump played the victim by fabricating the lie that he was only being convicted because he was prevented from defending himself.
Todd Branch said Trump was very involved in decisions about his defense, “He wants to be a litigator. You want to be the one who actually argues because he’s a smart guy and he knows what he’s doing. We made every decision together. pic.twitter.com/9Z5Xe2S3DI

Trump is calling the shots and running the board, seemingly putting his defense at risk as if this is a political game he can control through the narrative. Unfortunately for him, the evidence presented in court was different from the campaign and could not be controlled with Trump’s usual blame game on social media.
After all, even the jurors who reported they got their news from the Truth Society voted to find Trump guilty on every count.
