With an eye on accelerating continued expansion, Lamacchia Realty announced it has hired a new executive to lead the company’s growth in New England and Florida.
Massoud Atallah leaves Anywhere Real Estate to join the company led by Anthony Lamacchia at a time of rapid growth in the brokerage business.
Atallah joined Coldwell Banker in 2001 as an associate broker and later became senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Anywhere, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
In an interview with Inman on Wednesday, Lamacchia called Atala, who joins the company as senior vice president of business development and one of three senior vice presidents at the company, a “master recruiter.”
“He will definitely accelerate our growth trajectory significantly, I have no doubt about it,” Lamacchia said. “He was very well-known in Massachusetts, especially among Coldwell bankers.”
Lamacchia also said Atallah will help the company gain more market share in New England and Florida.
While at Coldwell Banker, Atallah served as a sales manager in various offices in Massachusetts for 12 years before moving to Atlanta in 2019 to help oversee operations there.
He will remain in the Atlanta area, traveling frequently to Lamacchia offices in New England and Florida while adjusting to his new role.
“This is a great opportunity for me to leverage my relationships in New England and Anthony’s developmental trajectory that will help me help him,” Atala told Inman on Wednesday. “There’s a lot of synergy between what they’re doing and my experience. It was just the right choice at the right time.
Lamacchia Realty has set its sights on growth in the strategic market of New England. In April, the company acquired Sears Realty, a Springfield-based family-owned brokerage owned by NAR President Kevin Sears. Lamacchia promised more news to come.
“We’re 100 percent committed offensively,” Lamacchia said.
