Most conservative Republicans strongly oppose the more than $60 billion in new Ukraine aid that the Republican and Democratic establishments desperately want. Especially considering the billions the U.S. has spent there.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has a great idea: House members who insist on voting for the aid can also go there to join Ukrainian troops in the fight.

Greene to pro-Ukrainian aid agency members: ‘Why don’t you fight’
Green proposed an amendment to the proposed aid Wednesday.
The bill would force members of Congress who voted for more money to Ukraine to also travel there and join the fight themselves.
“Any member of Congress who votes in favor of this bill must be drafted into the Ukrainian military,” the amendment reads.
Few expect Greene’s amendment to make it into the final bill — I’d bet her views will still be adopted.
Greene and other Republicans have been staunch opponents of Ukraine aid and lashed out at House Speaker Mike Johnson, who on Wednesday introduced the text of three aid bills targeting Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
So much for America First.

Let Johnson leave?
Greene even floated the idea of Johnson resigning as speaker, a proposal signed by her Republican congressman Thomas Massie over his insistence on sending more taxpayer money abroad.
On the Senate floor, Rand Paul agreed with Massey and Greene about Johnson.

Either conservatives believe in “America First” or they don’t. What’s the point of Republican leadership if it insists on sending billions of dollars to foreign countries instead of making Americans pay less in taxes or using it to solve America’s problems?
Joe Biden likes Mike Johnson’s plan.
“I strongly support this plan to provide critical support to Israel and Ukraine, deliver much-needed humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza, and strengthen security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region,” the president said in a statement Wednesday. Israel is Faced with an unprecedented attack from Iran, Ukraine is facing sustained bombing from Russia, which has intensified dramatically in the last month.
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s idea of getting members of Congress to fight might be the best idea in the entire debate.
