Marvel fans get the first one, and it’s pretty fun Captain America: Brave New World The trailer was released in early July, but on the occasion of San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel gave fans on the Hall H panel a better look at the studio’s next film starring one of its flagship heroes.
The meeting begins tonight in Hall H with an introduction by Kevin Feige, and the video begins at the White House. President Ross (Harrison Ford) is hosting an event about the mass of celestial bodies present on Earth. He explained that when this happens, many different people scramble to try and claim it. What a mess. But, thanks to Captain America, they finally found something valuable. A new element: Emery. Yes, That Emery.
In a new scene that follows, we see Sam (Anthony Mackie) and Ross speaking in the Oval Office. He wanted Cap to rebuild the Avengers, but Cap pointed out that Ross’ Sokovia Accords had previously destroyed the Avengers. So, he asked, what happens when they disagree? We didn’t get an answer.
A series of action scenes take place, including a large portion of the White House being destroyed, and we see Sam strutting into the Situation Room in a regular suit. He said he had to talk to the president. Everyone leaves except one woman: Ruth (Sheila Haas). Rose says she’ll stay no matter what. Apparently, Sam was concerned that Rose’s inner circle was being compromised, and Rose told Ruth to put it aside. Sam said that was nonsense. Ross says it’s politics.
A hooded man kills a group of people in a room. Captain America flies with Falcon (Danny Ramirez). We see Cap throwing his shield out of the air, his wings spread. The words “The future favors the brave” appeared on the screen.
Ross was speaking outside the White House. The gun went off and he crouched down and started rushing the Hulk out. The Red Hulk appears, Harrison Ford’s face captured through motion capture.
Captain America: Brave New World Anthony Mackie stars as Sam Wilson, who takes over the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans. His co-stars include Harrison Ford (who plays Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a character previously played by the late William Hurt in the Marvel Universe), Danny Ramirez, Sheila Haas, Thor Sarah Rockmore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito – whose villain is now confirmed Seth Voelker, aka Sidewinder, founding member of the Snake Society —Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson.
Captain America: Brave New World It will be released on February 14, 2025.
