Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service Max is getting more expensive — unless you can tolerate ads.
The company just increased prices on all ad-free plans. This means the standard ad-free plan is now $16.99 (was $15.99), while the ultimate ad-free plan is $20.99 (was $19.99), allowing streaming on more devices and supporting 4K.
Existing subscribers will see the price increase during the next billing cycle on or after July 4. Prices have increased for new subscribers.

The Max price increase is the second in a year and is clearly part of a trend. Spotify recently raised prices for the second time in 12 months, NBCUniversal’s Peacock will also raise prices in July, and other streaming services including Disney+ and Netflix have also recently raised prices.
It’s also worth noting that the Max’s price increase comes right after. Dragon House Season 2 will premiere on June 16.
