Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service is joining other subscription services like Spotify and Netflix in changing their offerings. Microsoft on Tuesday confirmed a long-awaited price increase for Xbox Game Pass, as well as additional changes to the base Xbox console tier.

The price change will take effect for new members joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass Core, and PC Game Pass. Additionally, Game Pass for Console will no longer be available to new members, primarily because the tier has received a new name—Game Pass Standard—as well as different benefits.
