Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) has announced a new collaboration with Beatdapp to “complement and enhance” MLC’s existing streaming fraud detection capabilities.
Beatdapp, a music streaming fraud detection company, announced a $17 million funding round in January.
Beatdapp has previously said its technology can analyze large data sets to identify fraudulent flows and ensure artists and rights holders are paid legitimately.
The company also previously said it analyzed more than 2 trillion streams and 20 trillion data points 2023.
The services provided by Beatdapp will now complement MLC’s existing internal processes.
Since its first royalty distribution in April 2021, MLC has distributed more than $2 billion in total royalties to date.
