A new poll finds that 53% of voters now believe Donald Trump lacks the physical and mental stamina needed to serve as president.
Monmouth University wrote about their new poll:
Before Biden exited, the ability to simply carry out the duties of the presidency dominated the election conversation. Currently, 57% of voters are at least somewhat confident that Harris has the mental and physical stamina to serve as president, while 47% say the same about Trump. Confidence in Trump’s abilities is down a few points from February (51%), but confidence in Harris’ abilities is significantly higher than Biden’s earlier this year (32%).
Overall, Harris leads Trump 48%-44% nationally, and she leads Trump 48%-43% when voters are asked which candidate they would definitely or probably vote for.
Harris and her message of joy and positivity not only inspired voters, but made them see Trump in a different light. Harris doesn’t have to speak out about it, run ads about it, or discuss it.
The contrast between the two candidates is stark. Harris and her campaign are energized and on the road, Trump, on the other hand, sat at home and conducted a low-energy interview in a somber and angry atmosphere.
This is an obstacle that Joe Biden cannot overcome. Most voters do not believe Trump has the mental or physical ability to serve as president.
By taking Joe Biden out of the race, Republicans exposed Donald Trump’s unqualification.
