MSNBC personality Joy Reid went on a rant that can objectively be defined as unhinged, accusing Donald Trump of using survivors of an assassination attempt as a photo opportunity.
Insanity might be a generous description.
Reade’s news that President Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus suggests his recovery will be just as impressive as Trump’s return to his feet after being shot.
“He (Biden) should be fine in a few days, doesn’t that convey the exact same message?” she asked a panel that included former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
There are two ways to answer this question: 1) “No.” 2) “No, what kind of medicine are you taking?”
Instead, Psaki agreed.

Joy Reid suggests Trump stand for photo after being shot
We’re pretty used to Joey Reed’s stupid and ill-advised comments, but this made us reconsider. This is very stupid.
See how she expresses her analysis. She suggested that Trump and Biden are equally old, claimed that Trump stood up just to take a photo after his head was nearly blown off, and suggested that Biden took a three-day nap to overcome the coronavirus and was equally admirable.
Reid complained that Trump’s survival of the assassination attempt was seen as a “symbol of strength.” She suggested Biden’s recovery from the coronavirus should be celebrated in the same way: “Wouldn’t it be exactly the same if he was doing well… and able to hold rallies?”
“That’s how it should be,” Jen Psaki said. pic.twitter.com/P6CS47Q2PX— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) July 17, 2024
You can’t make this stuff up. I will explain each statement one by one.
“Both of these two men are elderly,” Reed said. “Donald Trump is an old man who, for whatever reason, was given nine seconds to take an iconic photo during a shooting.”
No means no. Bless your little heart, Joey. Equating the two men’s ages just weeks after a debate that made it clear that Trump is light years ahead of Biden, both physically and cognitively, is not feasible.
She added: “But his survival and immediate bounce back, going straight to his convention, is being seen in the media world as a sign of strength.”
This is not the media’s business. Reality and a pair of normal eyes will tell you that Trump responded to the assassination attempt with strength and courage.
“The current president of the United States is 81 years old and has COVID-19. If he gets better in a few days, doesn’t that convey the same message?” Reid continued. “He is strong enough, older than Trump, To be able to get his hands on something that would have been truly deadly to someone his age? “
These claims seem very strange when you recall that Joy Reid mocked Trump for “trying to look like a tough guy” as he recovered from the coronavirus. That is back She accused him of faking the coronavirus to avoid a debate with Biden.
“So if he (Biden) does well and comes back and is able to hold rallies, wouldn’t that be exactly the same thing?” Reid asked.
“It should!” Psaki agreed.
See above – No.

MSNBC worries about ‘inappropriate’ filming
Remember, this network canceled their flagship morning show right after the assassination attempt because they were worried that one of the guests might say something stupid.
Here, Joy Reid clearly says something stupid and Psaki nods in agreement like a bobblehead. Network executives may wish to remove them from RNC coverage entirely.
Granted, the iconic historical photo showing a defiant Trump pumping his fist and urging the crowd to “fight” with blood dripping from his face is really, really good. It has broken down a lot of people on the left.
A photo editor at a major news outlet recently told Axios that the image should be banned. “Despite how good the photo is, it is dangerous for media organizations to continue to share it,” said the journalist, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Yes, this is very good. Even legendary.

Imagine the mentality of the former president who decided to take a photo after nearly having his head blown off on national television.
