Nancy Mackenzie, who voiced Marge Simpson on The Simpsons dub for Latin American markets, has died.
The Peruvian-Mexican voiceover artist is 81 years old.
Mackenzie has had a long and illustrious career, voicing hundreds of characters in films and TV series, including Trinity in The Matrix.
News of her death was announced on social media by Patricia Acevedo and Claudia Motta, the actress who voiced Lisa and Bart in the Latin American version of The Simpsons.
Acevedo wrote on Instagram: “It is with profound sadness that the Simpsons kids (Lisa and Bart) announce the passing of our beloved mom Maggie Simpson (Nancy McKenzie). RIP. , we will never forget you.
Nancy Mackenzie provided the Latin American voice for Marge Simpson in Spanish for the cartoon series’ first 15 seasons.
Actor Humberto Velez, who voiced Homer, also paid tribute to McKenzie.

Mackenzie was born in Peru but moved to Mexico in her 20s, where she became a stage and television actress.
