Food companies continue to target consumers taking diet pills with new options that may fit their goals.
Nestlé (OTCPK: NSRGY ) announced on Tuesday that it will launch Vital Pursuit, which is described as a high-fiber and high-protein frozen treat. The meal bowl range is designed to support people taking GLP-1 weight loss medication. The company says Vital Pursuit products are high in protein, are a good source of fiber, contain essential nutrients and are available in portions that match the expected appetite of people taking weight loss medications.
The Vital Pursuit brand will be available in retail stores in the fourth quarter and is expected to launch 12 different products.
The company emphasized: “Over the past few years, we have been expanding our meal combination options to meet consumers’ eating habits, and as the market develops, we will continue to expand Vital by providing consumers with more product formats. Pursuit.
Food makers such as Conagra Brands (CAG), WK Kellogg’s (KLG), Kraft Heinz (KHC), Campbell’s Soup (CPB) and General Mills (GIS) are confident they can adapt to the weight loss drug disruption expected this year. The numbers will continue to grow. Notably, the industry points to data showing a significant increase in consumption of healthy frozen meals among people taking diet pills, although consumption of certain snack and dessert categories has declined.
