In February, the home of a top aide to New York Mayor Eric Adams was raided by FBI agents.
FBI agents raided the Bronx home of top aide Winnie Greco, who is under investigation for using her position to enrich herself.
In November, the FBI seized New York Mayor Eric Adams’ cell phone and iPad as part of a federal corruption investigation related to his 2021 campaign.

FBI agents conducted a coordinated search of the home of a New York City staffer, a former Turkish Airlines executive, on the same day the FBI raided the home of Brianna, a major fundraiser for New York Mayor Eric Adams. A search was conducted at Suggs’ Brooklyn residence.
Now, new details about the federal investigation have emerged.
The New York Post reports that the federal government is seeking their private emails and travel records to China.
According to National Review, Adams and his aides used private email addresses (and possibly private servers) to communicate on official business during a 2014 trip to China.
From the post:
Both the FBI and federal prosecutors noted that at least one of Adams’ trips was partially funded by the Chinese Communist Party.
While serving as Brooklyn borough president from 2014 to 2021, Adams visited China seven times, organized by key adviser Winnie Greco. Brooklyn Arch Association, then a volunteer in Adams’ office.
A person familiar with the matter told The Washington Post that the findings are part of a broader investigation into alleged public corruption involving Greco and the New York mayor.
It’s unclear what specific evidence the federal government is looking for about Adams’ trip to China or how it will fit into the broader investigation, or what they believe was discussed in the private emails.
