A New Hampshire teen is shown jumping from a motorboat to stop a runaway boat after his sailing instructor was knocked overboard last week.
Brady Procon, 17, jumped into action when his father, Jeremy, told him an unmanned boat was circling Smith’s Cove on Lake Winnipesaukee.
“I was sitting on the porch and my dad was yelling that there was a runaway boat in the wake,” the teen told WMUR-TV.
Procon told the media that the operator of the boat was part of the local sailing association and was a sailing instructor who was teaching children how to sail.

According to reports, one child’s boat overturned and the mast hit the instructor’s throttle, and the instructor bent down to retrieve a tennis ball used to teach how to turn.
The coach was reportedly thrown from the boat into the water and the out-of-control boat was spinning on the lake. Bystanders reportedly helped the children leave the boat.
Plocon told the outlet he “wasn’t really thinking” when he jumped on the back of his neighbor’s jet ski and approached the out-of-control boat.

The video captured Procon jumping onto the speeding boat and bringing it to a stop.
“I was kind of, I realized what I had done and I was a little scared, but it was fun and I would do it again,” Procon told the outlet.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries related to the incident.
