Drag superstar Trixie Mattel is teaming up with HGTV to launch a new celebrity-studded home improvement series that will feature some of the biggest names in real estate and pop culture.
The series, Trish Motel: Drag Me Homewill follow Mattel and her partner David Silver as the couple embarks on the exciting journey of buying and renovating a home together in Los Angeles, a month after co-owning a Palm Springs motel.
The trailer for Max’s series, which begins airing on June 1, reveals a number of celebrities will be making appearances on the show, including Christine Quinn, who was for sale sunset and the Oppenheim Group.
Quinn is the couple’s real estate agent, dedicated to helping them find their dream home.
“Trixie and David are the best clients ever because they always tell me I’m beautiful and my hair looks good,” Quinn says in the Max trailer released Thursday .
As the trailer continues, viewers get a peek at some of the homes Mattel and Silver considered during their home search, including a “storybook home” where the couple may land.
In the trailer, Mattel also appears to be trying to recruit real estate brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott to help decorate the house, but ultimately decides their sexual orientation doesn’t sit well with her.
“I need a gay guy,” Mattel told Drew over the phone. “Can I call your brother?” Then Jonathan interjected: “Yeah, that’s the only guy we know.”
Designer and HGTV star Dan Vickery flew on-site to help Mattel incorporate Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman” into the home design .
Other celebrities featured in the trailer include comedian Nicole Byer, drag stars Katya Zamolodchikova and Juno Birch, reality star Lisa Vanderpump, country musician Orville Peck and comedian Brittany Broski. According to HGTV, the show will consist of four hour-long episodes.
“We’re going to work some Trixie Mattel magic and powder everything from top to bottom,” Mattel says in the trailer. “I can’t wait to see how it turns out.”
