There is a very simple fact in life: average people want to enjoy life and not have some political agenda forced upon them.
If I go to McDonald’s, I don’t want to hear the left complaining about how the company supports a foreign country they don’t like.
If I drive, I don’t need climate zealots screaming about how a three-minute trip to CVS will kill polar bears.
Regardless, if I want to watch some American football, I definitely don’t want gay people being shoved in front of me so the team can meet its Pride Month marketing quota.
Every year when June rolls around, every company launches the most generic and aggressive Pride Month ads that have absolutely nothing to do with the company they represent.
Of course, 2024 is no different.
The Arizona Cardinals wasted no time this year, posting an LGBT rainbow post on Instagram with the caption: “Football is for everyone. Happy Pride Month.
This is another little ad for safety so that they can remind leftists across America that they love gay people and should label them as safe to avoid canceling the event.
But what the Cardinals may not have anticipated is how many people have become incredibly frustrated with LGBT values being forced into a place where they don’t belong.
“This is so embarrassing,” one commenter said.
“We live in a sad world. These poor kids shouldn’t know what this is,” another user noted.
“Thanks to the Cardinals for reminding me that I need to cancel my season tickets,” one person, possibly a former fan, wrote.
“As a Cardinals fan, I’ve lost respect for the team,” another annoyed onlooker responded.
Of course, while some of the comments on this article were excited about LGBT values being forced into football, the vast majority were negative.
Why shouldn’t it be this way?
Pride month has nothing to do with football.
Imagine if every NFL team posted how they supported Israel and condemned Palestine and Hamas.
Leftists would raise their weapons and gather outside headquarters with pitchforks and torches to repeat what they did on college campuses.
But because the ad celebrates something they happen to like, it’s okay.
The Cardinals and the entire NFL, not to mention nearly every major institution in American life, are taking sides on issues they shouldn’t be.
The simple reality is that football should be about football. Exclude everything else.
