Paris Olympic organizers are allowing a reenactment of “The Last Supper” with drag queens at the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, The Gateway Pundit reports.
In the sickening opening ceremony, scantily clad drag queens stood behind a long table and mocked one of Christianity’s most sacred images. To make matters worse, a young child was spotted standing next to the drag queen during the performance.
Now, ESPN reports that the Olympic Committee is working to contain the fallout. On Sunday morning, Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps issued what she called an “apology” to anyone offended by the sick performance, while insisting they sought to celebrate “community tolerance”.
“Obviously, it was never our intention to show disrespect to any religious group. It (the opening ceremony) tried to celebrate the tolerance of the community,” DeCamp claimed at a press conference.
“We believe this goal has been achieved,” she added. “We are truly sorry if anyone has offended us.”
Translation: We have no regrets about the performance, it was you who misunderstood our intentions, stupid Christians.
Meanwhile, Christians around the world remain angry that their faith was insulted at an event that was supposed to emphasize unity. The Daily Mail pointed out that thousands of Olympic fans have now vowed not to watch the event again.
The hashtags #boycottOlympics and #boycottParis2024 trended globally on Saturday and continued into Sunday.
It comes after one of the largest telecommunications providers in the US pulled its ad after a blasphemous display.
From the Daily Mail:
Thousands of social media users have threatened to boycott the just-opened Paris Olympics after Friday’s opening ceremony was widely criticized.
Angry viewers on X saw #boycottOlympics and #boycottParis2024 trending the next day.
In particular, in a scene similar to the Last Supper, a “naked blue man” appeared, which angered many viewers, especially Christians.
