Novak Djokovic survived a second-set scare to beat Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann 6-3 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Geneva Open.
After taking the first set 6-3, the Serbian found himself 0-3 down in the second and was eyeing a third-set decider against Hanfmann – who eliminated Andi on Monday. ·Murray – in the ATP 250 event.

British third-ranked Jodie Burlage will miss the French Open after suffering more injury problems.
Burrage has dealt with an injury in 2024 and has not played since undergoing wrist surgery in March after suffering an injury a few weeks ago in San Diego.
The world No. 111 has made a full recovery and was preparing to qualify for the French Open main draw, but sprained his ankle on Tuesday and will miss the second major of the year.
A bigger concern for the 24-year-old is missing Wimbledon, which starts on July 1.
“Yesterday I fell and sprained my ankle while preparing for the French Open clay court match,” Burlage said on Instagram.
“As things stand I will have to withdraw from next week. I won’t know the extent of the damage until further scans are carried out over the next few days.”
“After what happened to my wrist and how my recovery went, it’s hard for me to understand what happened. Fingers crossed for good news in the next few days.”
Burrage started the new season on a strong note by reaching the main draw for the first time at the Australian Open, but now faces a race against time heading into SW19.
WTA roundup: Top seeds advance to Strasbourg
Top seed Matata Vondrousova lost the first set at the Strasbourg International in France on Wednesday, losing 5-7 6-1 6-0 to squash qualifier Magdale Na french.
Freci, from Poland, was seeking her first win against a top ten player, but the Czech won in 2 hours and 13 minutes. Fretch is 0-14 in top-10 competition.
Vondrousova advances to the quarterfinals and will face Anhelina Kalinina, who defeated French wildcard Fiona Ferro in three sets.
