A school crossing guard in a Pennsylvania community has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs to middle school students.
Kiara Lee, 26, was taken into custody Tuesday night and charged with distributing e-cigarettes and marijuana-containing substances to students at Penn Wood Middle School, officials said.
Police told Fox 29 Philadelphia that a student reported that Lee provided e-cigarettes to students multiple times and frequently smoked marijuana with another student.

The student’s guardian also confirmed to Fox 29 Lee has been giving her children e-cigarettes and marijuana edibles.
Text messages between Lee and the student also revealed their experiences after consuming the food, according to authorities.
“School crossing guards embody the role of public servants. It is no exaggeration to say that they carry the lives of our children on their shoulders and hold a sacred position of trust in communities across the Commonwealth and across the country. For a man who has abused that trust is This is deeply disturbing personally and detrimental to the well-being of the entire community,” said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer.

A parent of a Penn Wood Middle School student told Fox 29 the news about Lee is very disturbing.
“It’s bad enough as a parent to keep them away from the influence, but to hear that one of the borough’s employees would even sell products to kids. That’s crazy,” Maya Bryant said.
Another parent, Malekka Dade, told Fox 29: “To have these people do their job in these corners, protecting the kids, and now you’re telling me kids are getting drugs from them, that’s a big deal. A shame?
