Second. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg went on national television to explain perfectly why Joe Biden should be the next president.
Buttigieg said on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher”:
I’m here because I believe in Joe Biden. Let me say, I get it. OK I’m not here to say that he’s 10 years older than he was 10 years ago, or to deny that he sometimes mixes up names, much like Donald Trump sometimes says the name when he’s clearly referring to it. But the thing about Joe Biden is that he’s very good at being president. You can tell, because we need the president to do the things he does best, like provide infrastructure, defend women’s rights, and grow the economy to a level I haven’t seen under any president in my lifetime.
One of two things will happen in November. We either get Donald Trump or Democratic nominee Joe Biden. These are completely different futures. I know which of these two futures I am prepared to live in and the one I want my children to grow up in.

Over the past few weeks, those within the Democratic Party seeking to oust the president as the Democratic nominee have come to the forefront. The pushback to explain why President Biden should stay in the race is poorly organized.
Resistance becomes more coordinated. Second. Buttigieg, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Hakeem Jeffries all came out in support of Biden’s continued nomination.
Buttigieg offered support that more Democrats should have offered. The reason Joe Biden should keep running is that he is a good president. The discussion is over.
It’s time for this nonsense to end and for Democrats to unite behind their nominee, Joe Biden.
