According to reports, Philips Hue’s next smart bedside lamp will be called “Twilight”. According to HueBlog.com, the light has two buttons on the top for power, scene selection, and sleep automation, as well as an LED light on the back that can display a sunrise or sunset effect.
The rear LED light and main light, like the Hue Dymera’s top and bottom lights, are apparently individually controllable, and when its sleep automation is triggered, the website says it will simulate a sunset before shutting off. It’s unclear when Philips will release the Twilight or at what price.
According to a report published by HueBlog yesterday, Philips may also launch a new 5-meter (~16-foot) light strip called the Hue Solo, as “a major US retailer” briefly listed it for $89.99 The light strip was then taken off the shelves. There is indeed a cached Best Buy Hue Solo product page that describes “a seamless blend of multi-colored light in a single LED strip” and says it can be controlled via Bluetooth.
