The latest poll from the Washington Post shows that voters in swing states trust Trump more than Biden to protect democracy.
This poll is sure to drive Democrats crazy because it goes against their entire strategy. They’ve been saying for months that Trump is a threat to democracy. However, voters in swing states trust Trump more than the Democratic candidates on this issue. That’s really funny.
A lot of what Democrats are trying to do is counterproductive.

Poll shows swing state “decision makers” trust Trump more than Biden to protect democracy
Voters in key states that could decide the election have more trust in former President Trump than President Joe Biden to handle threats to democracy, a survey released Wednesday showed.
The poll, conducted by The Washington Post/Schar School, surveyed voters in six battleground states and identified a group of respondents labeled “decision-makers.” The survey found that 38% of “decision makers” said Trump would do a better job handling threats to American democracy, while 29% said Biden and 23% said neither…
Those labeled as “deciders” include respondents who voted in the 2016 or 2020 elections, those under 25 years old, those who have registered to vote since 2022, those who are undecided and may not vote, or those who voted in 2016 People who changed the political party they supported between 2020 and 2020.
Among all swing state voters, 44% said they have more confidence in the Republican nominee to protect democracy, compared with 33% who said the incumbent president. About 16% said they had no trust in either, and 7% said they had equal trust in both, according to the poll.
