As one of Mashable’s senior shopping reporters (but more importantly, resident robot vacuum expert), I’ll be the first to tell you that there are way too many robot vacuums on sale for Prime Day.
A ton of models sold this year have all been under my roof at some point. I have at least three in my apartment at any given time and rely on them for daily cleaning, comparing them to other products I’ve used and writing about the experience. My knowledge also extends to price points – I can probably rattle off the MSRP and From memory, any 2023 or 2024 model is selling for a record low price. I like ordinary.
As a Dyson fan, I won’t tell anyone to buy the Dyson 360 Vis Nav sweeping robot
So, naturally, I subconsciously browsed the long list of Prime Day options, looking for one or two deals that are absolutely worth the money — deals I’d tell friends or family about if they asked which robot vacuum cleaner to buy. Should get it. Spoiler alert: this isn’t a Roomba.
If you’re also in the market for a robot vacuum this Prime Day and are experiencing decision fatigue, I’ve got you.
My Favorite Prime Day Robot Vacuum Deals
why i like it
The best Roomba might be at its best sale price yet, but it’s still not the best robot vacuum deal during Prime Day. There are other robot vacuums that do more for less, namely the Eufy X10 Pro Omni, which is sitting next to me as I type this.
Among the sweeping robots released at CES 2024 in January, I am most excited to try the Eufy X10 Pro Omni. Not because it’s anything particularly unique per se, but because it attempts a self-washing and self-drying mop pad at a much lower price than any other CES version that offers this feature
6 sweeping robot vacuum and mopping robot combinations worth looking for on Prime Day
Back to the Roomba Combo j9+ comparison: both have pretty strong suction, can recognize objects like phone chargers, can empty themselves, and can mop vigorously. But after mopping, only the Eufy X10 Pro automatically washes and dries its own mop pad, preparing it for scrubbing the next floor with a clean slate. After testing both apps in my apartment, I subconsciously opened the Eufy app instead of the iRobot app for almost every task since I didn’t have to deal with a soggy mop pad.
When it comes to actual cleaning, the X10 Pro Omni pretty much does what you ask for. The 8,000 Pa suction power is not far from the most powerful on the market, and is especially powerful for a robot vacuum under $1,000. I also like that Eufy decided to equip the X10 Pro Omni with dual rotating mop pads instead of a single fixed cloth. I’m more of a believer in proactive scrubbing and can see the obvious signs of dusty cat paw prints next to the litter box, shoe prints next to the door, and dry mystery splatters on the kitchen counter.
Mix and match offer
Cheaper Honorable Mention
If you laugh at the thought of spending over $500 on a robot vacuum, I’ve also got a great budget option for you.
The Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 is the most advanced product in Shark’s latest range, and it impressed me more than I expected. It gets where it needs to go with accurate smart mapping, and does a solid enough job of vacuuming and mopping that I don’t need to constantly grab the Dyson for touch-ups. This thoroughness is largely due to the Shark’s Matrix Mode: a cleaning mode that triggers the vacuum to make multiple passes over the desired location (with enhanced scrubbing or suction power) from different angles, thereby improving the ability to pick up unreachable hair or debris. possibility.
While this model can self-empty, it’s not a full-blown automatic cleaning station, so you have to rinse the mop pads and let them dry before tapping them for another mopping run. However, this Shark pick is still praised for being the perfect holy trinity of smart mapping, automatic emptying, and mopping on a budget—less than $400 for Prime Day.
