Another Boeing (NYSE:BA) planes have encountered turbulence over the course of the week, this time a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday.
Twelve people were injured on board the Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliner, including Passengers and crew. The injuries were minor, according to Qatar Airways.
The plane landed safely at Dublin Airport on Sunday afternoon and emergency services treated the injured.
The carrier experienced turbulence over Türkiye. “The matter is now subject to an internal investigation,” Qatar Airways said in a statement.
Nearly a week ago, a Singapore Airlines Boeing (BA) plane encountered severe turbulence, killing a British man and injuring more than 100 passengers.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said on Sunday that climate change is one of the reasons for increased flight turbulence. “The reality is, climate change is already having an impact on our transportation,” he told CBS, adding that the unrest would continue to “affect American travelers, both in the United States and abroad.”
