The spring transfer portal window has closed and with fall rosters finalized, many moves have been made. Here are the five biggest tight end acquisitions in the transfer portal this offseason.
1. Amari Niblack, Texas
Niblack’s transfer from Alabama to Texas is even bigger now that Texas is in the SEC, and the top-100 receiver is a great playmaker with the ball in his hands. Niblack has long been considered a tight end at the next level, and he’s not as thick as former Texas TE Ja’Tavion Sanders, but he could be a more athletic option. The Longhorns should be happy to find ways to utilize Niblack, who caught 20 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns last season.

2. Jack Johnson, North Carolina
Johnson and his brother Max played together at Texas A&M, so when Max Johnson transferred to North Carolina, it wasn’t a surprise that the former four-star tight end followed him to Chapel Hill.
This could be a great combination because it’s in college station and arguably in a better offensive system because things are really getting stale for the coaches. Jimbo Fisher to the end.

3. Tyler Neville, Virginia
A few things are going to come up this season: Either Virginia gets Neville, who was a standout at Harvard last season, or the Cavaliers just landed an Ivy League-caliber player who excels against weaker competition.
The former two-star star ranks second with 24 catches for 283 yards and a team-high four receiving touchdowns on a Crimson team that ran the ball 150 more times than last season.

4. Jaleel Skinner, Louisville
Early in his recruitment, Skinner was considered a five-star based on his shooting and athleticism, but his production so far hasn’t even reached a four-star level.
Skinner didn’t make much of an impact in his two seasons with the Hurricanes after transferring from Alabama to Miami late in his recruitment. Now at Louisville, Skinner has the size and speed to be elite, but needs to put it all together on the field.

5. Benjamin Yurosek, Georgia
There is no replacement for Brock Bowers, but Georgia should be good at tight end with all the current players on the roster and now that Yurosek has joined the team. His 2023 season was cut short by injury, but the 2020 rookie had over 1,000 receiving yards in his career at Stanford and could be a key player for the Bulldogs looking to replace one of the best tight ends in recent memory. Main weapon.
