Rep. Maxine Waters #马多 Undermining the media’s Biden narrative, “We don’t have that many members talking about him should step down. Don’t forget, there are 213 Democrats and you’re talking about nine members, and I think we still have a long way to go.” “Come on, we’re not really separated. ” pic.twitter.com/mb7AZlwjDa

Waters said on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show:
Well, yeah, I can’t tell you much. You know, you’ve already announced this, but I want you to know that I’m not going to talk about what happened in the meeting, but I do want to tell you how strongly I feel about supporting Biden and how much I believe this Democratic Party ultimately will come together. We don’t have that many members and he should step down. Don’t forget that the Democratic Party has 213 and you’re talking about nine members, I think we have a long way to go. Well, we’re not really divided, so I’m hopeful and I do believe that we’re going to be okay and I do believe that Biden is capable and capable of serving and remaining president of the United States of America. So I’m going to speak loud and clear, and I’m going to hit the road and go into communities and tell the story of what he’s done since he’s been president and how he’s accomplished so much.
Rep. Waters is right. The media promised over the weekend that the floodgates against President Biden would open once members of Congress returned to the Capitol, but that did not happen. So far, nine House Democrats have said Biden should step down. This is nine-thirteenths of two hundred and thirteen. This isn’t exactly a wave of opposition to President Biden.
If Biden reassures nervous members of Congress, he’ll be fine. The Democratic Party will rally around him, and Democrats can get back to work defeating Donald Trump.
Opposition to Biden remaining the Democratic nominee appears to be exaggerated by the media.
