Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is calling on the Federal Reserve to start issuing $500 bills with President Trump’s likeness on them.
Gosar, a staunch Trump ally and one of the most trusted Republican members of Congress, authored the Treasury Unveils Unforgettable Portraits Act (TRUMP), which he claimed would “give Americans more Freedom of multiple tangible choices to preserve and exchange goods and services.” Serve. “
“As Biden inflation continues to devalue our currency, the Treasury Department’s issuance of a $500 bill bearing President Trump’s face provides several practical advantages,” Mr. Gosar said.
The bill would require the U.S. Treasury Secretary to print a $500 Federal Reserve note bearing Trump’s image.

Gosar added that Trump’s face would help increase tax revenue due to increased demand for “numismatic items.”
“Collectors often covet currency with unique design and historical significance, and a bill featuring the highly popular 45th president will attract significant attention from collectors,” he said.
Given current Democratic control of the Senate and White House, there is zero chance of such legislation passing, at least with Trump in his face.
Current U.S. currency denominations and their featured figures include George Washington on the $1 bill, Thomas Jefferson on the $2 bill, Abraham Lincoln on the $5 bill, Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, and Alexander Hamilton on the $20 bill. Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant The $50 bill features Benjamin Franklin, and the $100 bill features Benjamin Franklin.
The Treasury Department had previously issued $500 bills, which were worth several times what they are now, but discontinued them in 1969 due to lack of use.
