The defendants appeared in court in Phoenix on Tuesday, either in person or virtually. Giuliani, who appeared in court without a lawyer, told the judge by phone that he did not have a copy of the indictment but was “generally familiar with the charges from reading in the newspaper.”
Others arraigned on Tuesday include former Arizona Republican Party Chairman Kelly Ward and Kristina Bobb, who served as an adviser to the 2020 Trump campaign and is now an election integrity attorney for the Republican National Committee. They have all pleaded not guilty.
