But when the show returns next month, it looks set to hit the ground running and reveal how Sauron and the Stranger will change Middle-earth. A new long-form trailer released at Comic-Con gives fans a good idea of what to expect from season two.
According to Amazon, the new season will focus on the return of Sauron. “Expelled by Galadriel and without armies or allies, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his cunning to rebuild his power and oversee the creation of the Ring of Power, which will allow him to bind Middle-earth All of his people conform to his evil will,” the anchor explained. It looks like this season will be a good one for fans of fantasy monsters, too: giant spider Shelob, shape-shifting Balor wights, sea worms, and more will all be making appearances.
