Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom
Marvel’s panel in Hall H brought big news related to “Avengers 5.” The Russo brothers are directing the film (as well as Avengers: Secret Wars), and in addition, Robert Downey Jr. will play Doctor Doom in Doomsday.

The new crime drama Penguin, starring an unrecognizable Colin Farrell, will premiere on HBO and Max on September 19th. Ferrell also plays a Gotham gangster in the film. Check out the official trailer for Darkness below.
The Boys Gets a Prequel: Vought Rising
Prime Video’s gory superhero drama is getting a spinoff, with Jensen Ackles returning as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash reprising her role as Stormfront. The prequel “Volt Rising” will take viewers back to the 1950s, the early days of the Corrupt Corporation, and Stormfront’s old identity Clara Voight. Eric Kripke will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
“Ring of Power” Season 2 Goes “Nuclear”
The new season will premiere on Prime Video on August 29, and Hall H shared a clip showing a massive battle with orcs and a ring being forged. The show’s producers said the second season of “Ring of Power” is about “the nuclear age, where everybody wants bombs, everybody wants nuclear codes, but what they don’t know is that it all feeds into this guy.” “in the body” [Sauron]”Adar and Sauron will clash with each other, and this time giant creatures will appear in large numbers. Like a Dragon: Like a Dragon
The TV show Yakuza: Like a Dragon, based on Sega’s video game series, brings Kamurocho to life on Prime Video. On Friday, fans watched clips featuring Ryoma Takeuchi as Kazuma Kiryu and Kento Kaku as Akira Nishikiyama. The series is an origin story that will follow ten years of Kazuma Kiryu’s life and his brotherly relationship with Nishiki. The first three episodes will be available on Prime Video on October 24.
James Gunn’s “Biocommando”
During a panel discussion moderated by DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, James Gunn made a surprise appearance to promote the new animated Max series, Creature Squad. Like Suicide Squad, the show follows a group of imprisoned monsters who are charged with a mission to save the world. The voice cast includes Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Steve Agee as Economos, Anya Chalotra ) as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr. ), Sean Gunn as GI Joe and Weasel, David Harbor as Frankenstein and Alan Tudyk as Frankenstein. Gunn wrote all seven episodes of the upcoming version, which will be released in December
Doctor Who gets new spin-off series
Disney has unveiled a new addition to the Doctor Who franchise that will take you back to the 1970s to discover the Sea Devils, a group of ancient creatures born from the ocean. Produced in partnership with the BBC, the series stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Russell Tovey, Alexander Devrient and Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. The show will air on Disney Plus, where fans can currently watch Doctor Who Season 14 starring Ncuti Gatwa.
Peacock Horror Series “Teacup”
The streamer is currently working on the Olympics, but one of its upcoming projects is James Wan’s new horror series Teacup. The show is a Peacock original, adapted from the novel “Stinger” by Robert McCammon, and combines suspense, drama and horror. Check out the trailer for the series, which will premiere this fall on October 10th.
Release dates confirmed starting with Season 3
Following the gripping finale of the previous season, the third installment of the suspenseful horror series “From” will premiere on September 22. The threat of bloodthirsty monsters.
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter
The universe of “Dexter” continues to expand. During a Ballroom 20 panel on the upcoming prequel series Dracula: Original Sin , viewers got their first look at the show’s Breakfast production credits – an interesting callback to the original show’s opening credits. The show stars Patrick Gibson as the titular antihero and Christian Slater as Harry Morgan. The cast includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christina Milian and Patrick Dempsey.
Michael C. Hall took the stage during the panel discussion to reveal his role in the show. We’ll get to hear him provide interior monologue when the show premieres on Paramount Plus in December. “It’s very exciting. It’s really gratifying,” he said. “I spent a lot of time in this character and it will be great to go back and fill in all the imaginative gaps.”
As an added bonus, Hall announced that he will be returning to the character that made him famous in a new sequel series called Dexter: Resurrection. The show takes place in the present day and will premiere in the summer of 2025.
