Secret Service agents assigned to Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff arrested an “anti-police observer” during a violent altercation on a New York City sidewalk on Tuesday.
Video obtained by TMZ shows a man described as an “anti-police watcher” upset that law enforcement is allowed to park cars by displaying placards while citizens are not.
Doug Emhoff’s daughter, Emhoff, was having lunch at a Tribeca restaurant when frustrated New Yorkers confronted her outside.
The man seemed unaware he was dealing with the Secret Service and may have thought it was just a plainclothes officer.
He eventually ripped off the license plate of one of the agency’s SUVs.

The Secret Service arrested the man and Ella Emhoff was escorted to safety
The video shows Ella Emhoff being rushed out and placed in an SUV while she was in the restaurant with a friend.
The Secret Service confirmed to TMZ that the man messed up the license plate for no apparent reason. He was subsequently detained and arrested.

The agency noted that no protected persons under their watch were put in danger as a result of the altercation.
It’s unclear what charges the man may face.

Honestly, the Secret Service is very lucky here. If the man who confronted Ira Emhoff climbed onto the sloped roof and started complaining about their parking problems, they would never be able to stop him.
The slightly sloping roof is the agency’s kryptonite, as we know from the Trump assassination attempt.
The Secret Service has come under intense scrutiny for multiple failures that led to Trump’s murder and led to a former fire captain protecting his wife and children when he was struck by bullets at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
At the same time, Emhoff has somehow established himself as a model, designer and fashion icon.
