Evidence is mounting that the Secret Service was incompetent in handling the rallies that led to the near-assassination of Donald Trump.
Various reports found that Trump’s security team was understaffed and failed to secure the roof for the shooter in an apparently prime location because the roof sloped too high and posed a safety hazard.
Video and images showed the gunman was spotted nearly 30 minutes before the attack, with multiple bystanders pointing out his presence on the roof. Still, the Secret Service couldn’t stop him.
Now, CNN reports an even worse timeline. The would-be assassin is under Secret Service surveillance three hours Before shooting.

Gunman drew Secret Service’s attention three hours before shooting Trump
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was caught carrying a rangefinder while trying to pass through a metal detector at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The device, which CNN describes as “used by hunters and target shooters to measure distance when shooting at long ranges,” came to the attention of officials.
The next sentence in the report is truly striking. The Secret Service monitored Crooks because of his suspicious behavior and the presence of a device used to line up shots for hunters, but then let him walk away.
“Investigators are unsure where Crooks went after leaving the security area, but current speculation is that he went to his car to retrieve the rifle,” they wrote.

In addition to the rifle in Crooks’ car, investigators found a bulletproof vest and two explosive devices. Images captured showed a device that could have detonated explosives next to his body.

Return to radar 40 minutes before shooting
Now that the Secret Service has lost the attempted assassin and knows he has a rangefinder on him, they’re in luck.
“About 40 minutes before the shooting, Crooks appeared on Secret Service radar again,” the Daily Mail wrote.
“At 5:30 p.m., a photo showing the 20-year-old sniper appearing to crawl on the ground while scouring the area was passed to law enforcement as a suspicious sighting.”
Well, 3 hours before the shooting, we had a guy with a rangefinder, and then that same guy had 40 minutes to spare when he sent his photo to the Secret Service because he was seen crawling on the ground.
I guess there’s nothing to panic about yet. Well, luckily they have other There is a chance to stop him. An agent allegedly saw him on the roof.
“Witnesses spotted Crooks climbing onto the roof of the US Glass Research Building,” the Daily Mail continued. “The Secret Service counter-sniper team, code-named ‘Hawkeye,’ also spotted him observing their position through a rangefinder.”
three hours. Multiple sightings. Various related behaviors. Yet no one in the Secret Service decided to stop him? Strange.
