Louisiana Republican Sen. John F. Kennedy called Vice President Kamala Harris “Jingle Bell,” but he looked like “Jingle Bell” when he exploded on the air.
Kennedy told Fox News host Neil Cavuto: “I don’t care about her gender. Neil, maybe you do, but I don’t. I don’t care about her race. I care about her abilities. So why call her that?” Where’s the jingle.
Cavuto asked: “Then why do you call her Ding Dong?”
Kennedy continued, “I’m telling you what the polls show. I’m telling you what the polls show and what it does, and I’m happy to sit down with you and walk you through the polls.
Cavuto responded: “Yes, please do this. Because I never know when it’s constructive to abuse someone.
Kennedy then attacked Cavuto, “But I’m sorry. If this hurts your feelings, I’m sorry, but. But I’ll say it again.
“Senator, you keep reminding me of this,” Cavuto said. “How I feel doesn’t matter. What I’m telling you is, if you think you can get ahead by swearing this November, I don’t.” Don’t know how far this goes, left or right. But we’ll see. It’s too early to tell your point.
Kennedy is now following Cavuto, “It seems to me that your feelings are very important to you, Neal. I’m trying to be objective here.
Neil Cavuto ended the interview by saying, “Let me say it again. Senator, are you really being objective? I just think you’ve had enough of the abuse you’ve been hurling at her. If you call it objective, I don’t I know. But Senator, I do want to thank you for coming.

Kennedy’s interview with Fox did not help the Trump campaign. Might want to reconsider letting this guy represent your candidacy on TV pic.twitter.com/bGkCbvy9tW

Republicans are trying to attack Harris, and we all know what Kennedy was trying to do. Kennedy suggested Kamala Harris was incompetent because she is not white and is a woman. Kennedy initially tried to smear Harris, but then attacked host Neil Cavuto for suggesting that what Kennedy was doing was stupid and counterproductive.
Republicans don’t know how to counter Harris, and they can feel the election is getting away from them.
What Senator Kennedy did was ugly and a sign of panic. Even Fox News saw that this was a very bad idea.
