As Gateway Pundit previously reported, President Trump said he plans to commute the sentence of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht on his first day as president.
Speaking at the Libertarian National Convention on Saturday, Trump told the crowd, “If you vote for me, I will commute Ross Ulbricht’s sentence.”
Trump added: “He’s served 11 years and we’re going to get him home.”
When Trump made the announcement, the liberal crowd erupted in applause.
In response to Trump’s statement, Ulbricht wrote: “Last night, Donald Trump promised that if re-elected, he would commute my sentence on day one. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. After 11 years in prison, I am very happy It’s hard to express how I feel at this moment. Thanks to your continued support, I may get a second chance.
