Singapore Airlines has offered compensation to people injured after a flight from London to Singapore suffered severe turbulence.
The airline said in a social media post that it was willing to pay $10,000 (£7,800) to those with minor injuries.
For passengers with more serious injuries, the airline will provide “an advance payment of $25,000 to meet their immediate needs” and further discussions to meet “their specific circumstances.”
In May, Flight SQ 321 encountered turbulence over Myanmar and diverted to Thailand, killing a British passenger and injuring dozens of others.
Early investigations indicate The plane accelerates rapidly up and down, and descended approximately 178 feet (54 m) in 4.6 seconds. Those not wearing seat belts were thrown from their seats, resulting in injuries.
At the time of the incident, there were 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The company said it would provide full fare refunds to all passengers on the flight, including those who were not injured.
In addition to this, Singapore Airlines said passengers will be compensated for delays in accordance with EU or UK regulations.
The airline is also offering all passengers S$1,000 ($739; £580) to cover immediate expenses and fly loved ones to the Thai capital upon request.
